Florida

Two weeks ago we traveled to Florida with Brian's side of the family. All 18 of us stayed in a beach house together and had a great time! We went in honor of Brian's parent's 50th wedding anniversary. The long car ride proved to be a little challenging for Aiden who was not happy about being in the car for that amount of time. (Michael and Logan did great and loved watching Disney movies while we were driving). None the less we finally made it to the beach house and it was well worth the wait. The house was amazing and a great place for us to stay. We spent most of our mornings at the beach and afternoons at the pool. The group included 10 kids and 8 adults. All of the older kids were a huge help with Michael, Logan, and Aiden. I felt like I had 7 full time babysitters all week! In the afternoons the boys were so worn out from the beach that I got to spend my afternoons lounging at the pool while they took a nap. In the evenings we had nice dinners, played games, and drank wine on the porch. On our last night there, Brian and I put the boys to bed and went out for a great dinner at one of our favorite Seaside restaurants and did a little shopping. It was such a fun week and we loved every minute of it! Along with the pictures below is a slide show to view more pictures from the week.

We love the lake!

The boys and I had a great weekend visiting my parents. Brian left Friday for his annual guys baseball trip so I packed up the boys and headed to the lake. All the boys loved riding the boat. The water was still a little chilly for swimming and tubing but was great for splashing feet. Aiden has become quite the little charmer. He loves to make silly faces and pose for pictures. My parents did a great job of wearing the boys out. When we returned home yesterday Logan said "Oh Mommy I am soooo tired....please can I go to bed and take a nice nap!" So funny! Here are our pictures from a nice relaxing weekend:)

Strawberries!

Today my twins club had a play group at a nearby farm to pick strawberries. Michael and Logan did a great job of filling up our carton. After picking strawberries a friend and I took all of the kids out to lunch then headed home so everyone could take a nap. Now I just have to figure out what to do with all those strawberries:)

FINALLY!!!

There have been numerous potty training attempts for Michael and Logan over the past year! We started talking about it after Aiden was born...we tried getting rid of diapers all together last summer (which did not go well)...we started talking about it again in the fall when they started school....then they both got sick and we put potty training on hold. It was a long winter full of doctor appointments! With all of that behind us I started potty training the boys again and this time they got it in just a few days! They were rewarded with suckers if they were successful on the potty....which is why Michael has one in his mouth in the picture. Potty training twins was really hard! I am glad that is behind us and am hoping Aiden is much easier when his time comes:)

Best day ever!

Last Saturday the boys had the best day ever! Brian and I took them to the zoo in the morning, then out to lunch, then home for a quick nap, then out for dinner and ice cream cones, then to an old covered bridge for a walk before bedtime. They had so much fun and were extremely worn out by the end of the day.

Michael and Logan are obsessed with trains and bridges. At the zoo we rode the train which goes under a little covered bridge and the boys talked about that the rest of the day. I think they like the train at the zoo better than the animals! After listening to them talk about the little bridge all day we decided to take them to the big bridge. You can only imagine their excitement when they saw the bridge and got to walk on it! As you can see by the pictures, Michael and Logan are really into holding hands and being together all the time! They still sleep in bed together and snuggle up as close as they can get to each other. I hope this lasts forever:)

Aiden is growing up way too fast! He is now tall enough to open all the doors in the house and has almost mastered the locks. He likes to brush his hair and teeth just like his big brothers...which is good because he just got 4 molars in all at the same time! He is always doing what Michael and Logan are doing and never wants baby toys. They all play pretty well together and today Michael and Logan told me to leave the play room because they wanted to be all by themselves (which is their new favorite phrase).

One more cute moment of the week: Yesterday I let Michael and Logan watch Mickey while I was making them breakfast and when the show ended Michael said "Thank you Mickey and Minnie for telling me a nice story!" So cute!
