Double Trouble!

MichaelLogan

Michael and Logan turned 11 months old this past weekend! I can't believe they are almost a year old. They spent most of last week with both of their Grandmas while Brian and I were in Florida. I got to tag along on Brian's business trip and spent my days running, hanging out at the pool, and going out to dinner with Brian. We had a great time and also celebrated my 30th b'day while we were there. (A little better than the b'day last year when I was put on bedrest!!!) We went to Universal Studios for a day where Brian talked me into competing in "Fear Factor Live" with him. I only made it through the first challenge where we had to hang from a bar 40 feet in the air, but Brian almost made it to the end.

The boys are now trying to "walk" along the furniture. They can make it from toy to toy and then back to the couch. It's funny how they figure that stuff out together. At this point, I don't know who is going to be more trouble:):) Logan tends to be a little more adventurous while Michael is more serious, but they both can have their moments! They are pretty equal in skills right now and are doing all the same things...including getting lots of new teeth and using them to bite each other....a bad habit we are trying to break! They are still about 3 pounds different in weight. Logan is 19 pounds and Michael is 22 pounds. The pictures are of them in their Thing 1 and Thing 2 t-shirts that Brian and I got for them at Universal Studios. Just a few more weeks til their first b'day and big trip to Palm Springs. They hope Aunt Kristy is ready to play in the pool all day!
Thanks Grandmas for babysitting so we could go on our trip!

16 inches of snow!

Our backyard looks like a winter wonderland!

Hello! We are snowed in and were under a blizzard warning last night! The news is reporting 16 inches of snow but in some areas around our house it has blown to make 3 foot drifts. They closed Brian's office yesterday and he couldn't make it in today so he has been working from home. I think it will be a while before we can dig out. Luckily the boys and I did a whole day of errands on Monday to stock up before the snow came. It will be a few days before I can do my 5am runs outside again! I can't wait for them to clear our streets! Speaking of running.....I just have to share a quick note about how much Brian is helping out with my marathon training. He watches the boys while I go for my long runs every Sunday.....which can take a long time depending on how many miles I am up to. This was an easy week so it was only 10, but last week was 12 and next week will be 14. He also activated a GPS system on my cell phone so that I can track my miles, my pace, and a map of my course. On top of that, he got me a new smaller IPOD to carry with me when I run.....(pink for Valentine's Day!) Not to mention the time he spends downloading all the songs for me:):) Anyway.....there is no way I could ever get this training in with out his help so I thought I would brag a little bit about how great he has been.

The boys also learned a new trick this week. They started walking behind their hippo push toy. They push it across the room and then wait for you to turn it around so they can go again. I can't believe how active they are getting! They are both pulling up to a standing position at the window ledge and on all their toys....now if they could just figure out how to get down with out bumping anything!!! They still climb all over each other and don't like to be separated. I try to spread out their toys to give them some room to play, but they always end up back in a corner together pulling at the same toy. The video is of them playing together at the window and riding their hippo toy. As you can see we are having a lot of fun being snowed in!

Playroom Fun

Here are a couple video clips taken this morning while the boys played together in the playroom. In baby news....Logan is getting 3 new teeth which makes 8 total! He is also pulling up and chewing on everything:) Michael is becoming more and more mischievous. He has been giving us these looks when he is up to no good. He can make some pretty funny faces. He is also pulling up on everything but not getting any new teeth at the moment. They are starting to learn the word NO. They will stop what they are doing but keep watching til you look away so they can go back to whatever they were doing to get in trouble. It's neat to watch them try to be sneaky together.

My big news is that I am training for the Flying Pigs Marathon (I'll run a marathon when pigs fly) which is coming up this May. Provided that I can keep up with the demanding training schedule and not get any injuries I hope to be running the full marathon. If all else fails, I can always drop down to the half since they run both on the same day. We will see....it hasn't been easy to run in this bitter cold weather. Three days a week I run at 5am before Brian goes to work and weekends are for the long runs. Only a few more months of training to go and hopefully it will get above freezing soon!

We had about 7 inches of snow yesterday and these are some pictures of the boys looking out the window trying to figure out what all that white stuff is:):)

GO COLTS!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Two heads are better than one!

These are the some of photos that were taken of the boys last week. Logan was not too sure about the girl taking the pictures. He is usually very easy going and will go to anyone. Michael on the other hand ,who is usually very serious and takes a few minutes to warm up to strangers, was all smiles. We ended up being able to get some good smiles from Logan after giving him lots of squeaky toys and rattles:):)

Just hanging around...

Logan has figured out that if he picks up his feet he can swing back and forth in the bouncer. This is the area in the kitchen where I can contain the boys while I clean up or make dinner. Michael loves to be in the exersaucer and as you can see Logan really likes his "swing".
Other than laughing at Brian all the time and playing in the kitchen, the boys have been pulling up on everything and each other! When they get up from their nap we will be heading out to the grocery which is their favorite place to go. They love to ride in the cart and scream at all the people. Hopefully we will survive the freezing temps! Brian watched the boys yesterday so I could meet one of my friends for a nice long run at the park we used to live by. Despite the -5 temps and falling on the ice, we had a great time and got in 8 miles! The best part though was going out to breakfast after the run and thawing out over pancakes and coffee:):) Hope everyone is staying warm out there!

Two laughing boys!

The boys love to play with Brian when he gets home from work. This is one of their favorite games. For some reason they think this is so funny! It is very cute to watch them laugh together!

Hey Michael...can I get a boost?

The things these two can do together amazes me! I went to get some clothes to get the boys dressed for the day and when I came back I found them like this. Good thing I had the camera close by so I was able to capture the moment. Logan was climbing on Michael to get to the top of his toy. They are very good at playing together and teaching each other new tricks.

We have a website!

After viewing our friend's website of their twin girls, we decided it was about time to create a site for Logan and Michael. This way our friends and family will be able to view pictures as well as video clips and also get the usual updates. Thanks to Alex and Dani for making us laugh at all their funny moments and inspiring us to create our own site!
