Hooray for SPRING!

We have had some great weather this week and the boys have really enjoyed being outside. I take them out to lunch once a week and this week we were able to sit outside for the first time since last summer. I thought this picture of Logan was really cute. He wanted to try to drink some water out of my cup....it is almost as big as he is!

Here they are talking to each other about mowing. Michael told Logan to go mow the grass and he would mow the driveway.



Logan loves to sing. He sings or hums to himself all day long (starting in his bed when he first wakes up in the morning). In this picture you can almost see that he is humming to himself:)

Michael and Logan are being really good big brothers to Aiden. They love to give him kisses and are always checking on him. They like to rock him and bring him pacifiers when he is crying. They were very concerned about him when he had to get shots at his 4 month check up last week. As soon as the nurse was done Michael said "All done Aiden!" It was very cute:) One of these days I am going to get all of them to sit together long enough for me to snap a picture:):):)

This video was taken last Sunday after getting home from Chicago. As you can see, the boys would much rather have Daddy put them to bed than Mommy! They had so much fun hanging out with Daddy for the whole weekend!

Since last weekend, we have had quite a bit of excitement around here! Logan came down with a really nasty GI bug Monday morning. We made a trip to his doctor to have him checked out and they sent us home with some antibiotics. Tuesday Logan was a little quieter than normal but seemed okay. Wednesday morning Logan got really sick very fast and was not able to keep anything down. During a phone call to the doctor's office he started throwing up and couldn't stop. He then went limp in my arms and was pretty lethargic. We ended up in the emergency room and spent the night in the hospital getting IV fluids. We were able to take him home Thursday night and so far he seems to be doing better. Logan always runs 3-4 pounds under Michael but after being sick all week he is now down a lot more. Hopefully he will start to perk up this week and gain some of his weight back. On the positive side of all this, Logan has never gotten to spend so much time alone with Mommy. Despite being sick, I think he had a little bit of fun hanging out in the hospital bed with Mommy, watching lots of videos, and getting phone calls from Daddy and Grandma.

What better way to liven up a sick kid than to let him decorate cookies? The boys had a lot of fun trying to decorate these cookies for Daddy. They did a pretty good job of getting the icing on the cookies. As you can see by Michael's blue lips, he also did a good job of getting the icing all over his mouth! When they were all done and cleaned up, I let them sit on the counter to have their pictures taken with the finished product:):)

Aiden's first trip to Chicago!

Aiden and I went to Chicago this past weekend with my parents to visit my sister and help host her baby shower. I am posting several pictures from the weekend. Mom and I hosted the shower with some of Kristy's friends from Chicago on Saturday. Then we all took Aiden shopping on Michigan Avenue and out to dinner. Sunday morning we had one last visit with Kristy and CR out at breakfast and then headed home. Aiden did great being in the car for so long and staying overnight in his first hotel room! Brian got to spend the weekend home alone with Michael and Logan. They had a lot of fun getting Chick-fil-A for lunch and having dinner at Brian's parents house. They were both very sad to see Daddy go back to work!

These are some new pictures of Aiden taken last night. He is a very happy baby and has been "talking" a lot! I left all the boys with Brian last night for a couple hours and when I got home Aiden "talked" to me for about 20 minutes! He had a lot to tell me about hanging out with Daddy and the big boys!



The boys have a whole room dedicated to their toys and this is how close they have to be to each other! They are so used to just sitting on top of each other that they are trying to do the same thing with Aiden!

Swinging in the rain!

The boys watched their new swing set being set up on Thursday and couldn't wait to go play on it. When it was finally done I let them go out for a quick swing. Unfortunately, it was a yucky rainy day so we could not stay out for as long as they would have liked. I can't wait for some warmer days so we can play outside more!

I didn't realize they would be able to swing in big kid swings! I am going to have to attach the other big kid swing and save the baby seat for Aiden.

Aiden getting ready to go to bed. He is now sleeping from 9pm til 8:30am! He loves to smile and always wants to be in the middle of everything. He likes to "talk" to Michael and Logan. I think he thinks he is a big boy too!

New cars!

The boys got these cars for their birthday. Poor Daddy didn't realize how long it would take him to put them together! We let the boys open them after dinner and they got to have their first ride in them just before bedtime (which is why they are in their pjs). After playing with them in the kitchen for a couple days, I moved them out to the garage. Hopefully we will have some warmer days soon and can start playing outside!

Happy Easter

Michael and Logan had a lot of fun looking in their Easter baskets this year. They were happy to get their first taste of Easter candy. It was a very good weekend for them with their birthday being the same day as Easter. After a weekend of sugar and two hyper little boys, Mommy has taken the candy away:):) Aiden got to have his picture taken in Mommy's old Easter basket. He just barely fit. Michael and Logan had the same picture taken when they were only a month old. It's fun to look back at that picture and remember how tiny they were!

Happy Second Birthday!

Michael and Logan celebrated their 2nd birthday this weekend. They had a "bug theme" birthday party and had a lot of fun eating dirt pudding, cake, and opening their presents. I had been talking to them all week about their birthday and by the day of their party they were so excited. When they saw all the birthday decorations they kept saying "oh wow", "balloons", and "happy birthday". It was really neat to see them get excited about their birthday this year.

2nd Birthday Video

Bubbles
