Big Boys!

The fun lady who cuts the boys hair suggested that I spike it for a change. I though they looked so much older with it styled this way!

Best friends

Since Aiden is now old enough to sit in the highchair, Michael and Logan have moved to the big table for their meals. They love sitting next to each other! These pictures were taken yesterday at breakfast. They were having a great conversation and were holding hands while eating. They are both deep in the middle of "terrible two" behavior so it was really nice to start the day off with a calm moment like this. We have started giving them "time outs" when they misbehave and now when one does something bad the other one says..."Uh oh, time out Mommy!" Sometimes it is hard to keep a straight face while trying to discipline them:) Brian and I are also trying to give them more freedom. We have taken down most of the baby gates and are letting them walk by Aiden's stroller instead of riding in the triple stroller all the time. With as much as they love being together.....they ALWAYS run in opposite directions whenever we are out in public. They definitely love being more independent and Mommy is getting a workout by chasing them all over the place! And speaking of workouts, I have started my 5am runs again. I forgot how much I love to run in the early morning hours! I get to watch the sun rise over the water and it is my hour of peace and quiet before the crazy day begins:)

All three boys together!

First taste of cereal

Now that Aiden has reached 6 months, we decided to let him have his first taste of rice cereal. He has been very interested in what we are eating for a while now and is always reaching for our plates. He was so excited to be sitting in the highchair and loved every bite of the cereal.

Rainy Day Fun

I think we have had stormy weather the past three Friday's in a row. This first picture was taken last Friday night after coming inside from playing with water toys in the driveway. The boys had just had their baths and were in pjs when a huge storm hit. Logan was a little scared so all the boys snuggled up with Brian on the couch to watch a movie. ("Finding Nemo" of course!)

Nemo is Michael's FAVORITE thing right now so when Brian and I took the boys to the Disney store to pick out their first toy on their own he had to have the giant Nemo. Brian and I thought it was so cute how he picked Nemo up and started talking to him and giving him kisses that we had to buy him. Logan on the other hand is very into The Little Einsteins. He picked out a "talking" Rocket and was thrilled when he learned how to make Rocket talk. His favorite character is the cute brunette girl named June. Both of these toys have not left their sides in a week now. It is the first time they have had their "own" toys that are not shared with each other:):)

Aiden never gets a moment alone:) Just when I think he will take a little nap in the swing Michael and Logan are there to make sure he is staying awake. Good thing he loves to watch his big brothers! We took Aiden back to Riley for more allergy testing this week and everything came back negative except milk so that was a huge relief. So far he is negative to nuts, soy, eggs, wheat and fish. After he had a mild skin reaction last week we ended up cutting several things out of our diets until he could go in for more testing. Going back to just being milk free has been a lot easier now!

A day at the splash park

It was such a nice hot day here that I decided to take the boys to the splash park this morning. They had so much fun running all around. This was their favorite park to go to last summer and after seeing how much fun they had today we will definitely be going several times this summer. They were really independent and running in different directions for most of the time but every now and then they would come up to me and say "Where's Michael?" or "Where's Logan?" so that they could find each other. It was really cute to hear them say "Oh, there you are!" when they would find one another:):)

Aiden was happy to be outside and took a little nap while Michael and Logan played.

Aiden is 5 months old!

I can't believe Aiden is already 5 months old! He is a very happy baby and loves to be around Michael and Logan. Michael likes to help me put Aiden down for his naps and Logan loves to give him hugs. Aiden takes two good naps a day and sleeps til about 8:30am....other than that he is awake and very alert the rest of the day. He is rolling everywhere and will sit up with a little help. He "talks" all day long to anyone who will listen:) He has also started to use his hands to grab things. Michael and Logan think it's really funny when he grabs their noses:) He loves to be outside watching Michael and Logan play or in the kitchen watching Mommy make dinner. He has become my little buddy...always hanging out with me while the big boys are off playing. I am posting some photos of all the boys at 5 months to compare. I think it's cute that they all liked to suck their fingers at this age:)

Aiden's first boat ride!

Brian and I took the boys down to visit my parents for the day last Sunday. Michael and Logan had a lot of fun driving Grandpa's boat and Aiden loved his first boat ride. This morning Michael kept asking where Grandpa was and wanted to see the boat again:) My mom gave the boys sunglasses to wear and Logan would not take his off. It was a really fun day with lots of time spent out on the lake. Hopefully next time we visit the water will be warm enough to take the boys swimming and tubing:):)

Family photo 2008

Brian's family has a tradition of taking yearly family photos. It can be a little crazy getting 18 people to sit still long enough to take a picture but we did it. You can tell by their lovely smiles how happy Michael and Logan were about it:):) At least Aiden is still to little to protest!

New Haircuts

I finally found a good place to take the boys for haircuts. Michael and Logan are usually terrified of the person cutting their hair so they thrash around and end up with horrible haircuts. Today we tried a new place and the boys did great. They loved the lady cutting their hair because she let them play with bubbles the whole time and was very patient with them. Aiden sat in his car seat and was very content to watch his brothers get their new haircuts. I had to post some pictures because I thought they looked so handsome:):):)

Silly Boys!

These are some random shots of the boys being silly.

Aiden news....We had Aiden tested this week and found out that he has a severe allergy to milk....which means that we cannot have any milk products in the house. If you start looking through your pantry you will see that pretty much everything has milk in it. We are hoping that he will outgrow this but for the next year we will be a milk free house hold.

Introducing Hazel Elizabeth

Here is the new addition to my sister's family. She was born last Friday at 3:14pm, weighed 6 pounds 3 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. Michael, Logan, and Aiden can't wait to meet their new cousin!

Ready....set.....go!!!

The boys new favorite thing to do is swing Aiden. They pull him back as far as they can and then let go. They give him a little warning by yelling READY, SET, GO before they actually let go:):)

We had a little bit of a scare with Aiden this week. Apparently he has a severe allergy to formula which can result in anaphylaxis. Brian and I found this out Tuesday evening after Aiden took his first bottle of formula. Soon after he was done we were dialing 911 and headed to the ER. We now have an appointment scheduled with a pedes allergist at Riley to find out what in the formula caused the reaction. Needless to say...that was the last bottle of formula he will be getting for a while.

Daddy and Aiden "talking"

3 under 3

Sometimes I forget that I have 3 children under the age of 3. (I tend to think of Michael and Logan as one since they do everything together.) I was fully reminded of this fact as we were trying to get pictures of all three boys at the same time. Michael was in the middle of a huge temper tantrum and Logan was running all over the studio. In the middle of his temper tantrum, Michael bonked Aiden on the head so he then started crying too. The poor photographer was wiping his brow the entire time and kept telling me how much patience I must have. Well, we finally did get a picture of them all together and it is one of my favorites. You would never know by looking at the pictures how unhappy they were to be there:) Luckily we had a really great photographer who knew lots of tricks to make them laugh:)
