Best Friends!

Michael and Logan are extremely attached to each other these days. They are pretty much joined at the hip the entire day and night (they are still climbing in bed with each other after Brian and I put them to bed). I think it's really cute how much they like to be together. We just had their 2.5 year check up last week and they are still 3 pounds different in weight and 1 inch in height. Their doctor is convinced that they are identical. Brian and I have never had them tested so we are not 100% sure. We have a easy time telling them apart but at school and music class people have a hard time. They usually end up putting name tags on their back so they can tell who is who. They have been doing really well at school and always ask when they get to go back. They love their teachers and have even made a couple new friends. Below are some pictures of them hanging out together.

Aiden is 9 months old!

I can't believe another month has already gone by! Aiden is really getting into everything now. He can crawl pretty fast and will stand up while holding onto something. He loves to get into all of Michael and Logan's toys...especially the ones they don't want to share with him. Yesterday I overheard Logan putting Aiden in a time out:) Aiden has also developed a bad case of stranger anxiety. He is not very fond of going into the nursery at church and usually I get called out of the service to get him because they can't get him calmed down. Of course as soon as I pick him up he is all smiles. I can't believe he will be one year old in just a few months! Below are some new pictures of all the boys.

Happy Anniversary!

Eight years ago today I married my true love and best friend. I can't believe eight years have passed since our wedding day...it still seems like yesterday. Thank you sweetie for eight wonderful years together and I look forward to many more! Happy Anniversary!

We love Halloween!

Yes....I am one of those moms that starts thinking about their kids Halloween costumes in September! I love everything that has to do with Fall...hayrides, pumpkin patches, and Halloween. While the boys and I were out running our usual errands this week, I came across these cute pirate costumes. I had originally planned on getting the boys different costumes but as soon as they saw the pirate hat and sword it was all over. They both wanted the same costume and are thrilled to be dressing up as pirates. I wish I was crafty enough and had enough spare time to hand make their costumes...however...having three boys under three slightly hinders my crafting abilities:) I do plan to attempt to convert their wagon into a pirate ship...I'll let you know how that goes. I have not decided what Aiden will be. He has a couple hand me down costumes from his big brothers but I think Michael and Logan are determined that all the boys will go as pirates. In the photos below you can tell just how much they love their costumes!

First Day of School!

Otherwise known as Mom's Day Out! Michael and Logan survived their first day of school today. I dropped them off at 9am and picked them up at 1pm! They seemed to have a lot of fun reading stories, making crafts, and having lunch with their new friends. I was completely surprised that the only tears shed were on my part after leaving them. When I picked them up their teacher gave me a great report saying that they had a lot of fun and were wonderful well behaved little boys!

Aiden and I spent our first morning alone having coffee and meeting with clients for Busy Bee Paperie. I think Aiden was happy to have time alone with Mommy even though she spent part of it working. All in all it was a great day for everyone and Michael and Logan can't wait to go back to school on Monday! Here are some pictures of the big boys getting ready to leave for school.

Bye Bye school! We'll see ya Monday:)

The Bedtime Crew

The boys have their first set of matching pjs and they looked so cute I couldn't resist taking a picture! If you look closely you can see Logan's black eye. We had a little bit of chaos around here last week. All the boys got a bad cold, Michael and Logan were rough housing with each other and Logan fell into our TV stand (resulting in the black eye), and Logan somehow managed to dislocate his elbow (we think yet again....due to rough housing with Michael). We got to make a trip to the ER Sunday night so they could pop his arm back into place. So far this makes our 3rd ER visit this year....and they aren't even playing sports yet! Oh the joys of having boys!!!

Aiden is 8 months old!

A lot has changed with Aiden in the past month. He has grown two bottom teeth and has started crawling! He can move around pretty fast and gets into everything. He loves to try to take away whatever Logan and Michael are playing with. You can imagine how well this goes over with them! Starting next week I will get Aiden all to myself 2 mornings a week while Michael and Logan attend their first ever Mom's Day Out program. I will be glad to have some time alone with just Aiden but will be sad to see Michael and Logan go. I can't believe how fast my little boys are growing up!

Movie Madness!

A friend and I decided to take all of our kiddos to see A Horton Hears A Who at the local theater that plays free kid movies during the summer months. With 6 kids plus 2 parents, we almost took up a whole row in the theater! All the kids did great and enjoyed eating popcorn while watching the movie. Michael and Logan especially loved Horton (the elephant) and have been talking about him since we saw the movie. The theater was packed as it was the last day before school started. I am glad that I still have a few more years before Michael and Logan start getting on the school bus every day!

Back to the lake again!

Over the weekend Brian headed out of town for a baseball filled guys weekend, so I took the boys down to my parents house. They had a lot of fun taking boat rides and swimming with Grandma and Grandpa. Michael and Logan were too busy playing in the water to sit still for pictures but I did get a cute one of Aiden. It is similar to one I took of Michael and Logan when they were babies. I can't believe how fast they are growing up!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

The boys had a lot of fun helping me make a birthday cake for Brian. Of course their favorite part was licking the spoon!

Twin bed for two...

Michael and Logan are deep in the middle of the terrible twos so I spend most of my day giving time outs, breaking up fights, and taking away toys that they refuse to share with each other. They do still have their sweet moments in the midst of all the chaos and I was able to capture this one on film. Before Brian and I go to bed we always peek in to see them asleep. When we went in to check on them tonight, this is what we found. Even though they have their own beds, at the end of the day they still want to be side by side! This is one of the truly amazing things about life with twins. I love my boys!

Touch a Truck

What better event to take boys to than Touch a Truck? Michael, Logan, and Aiden got to see 26 different types of cars and trucks including a tractor, a fire truck, and an Indy race car to name a few. They were able to sit in the trucks, blow the horn, and touch any button they wished. They love cars and trucks so this was a wonderful outing for them.

Our funny story of the week......

A few nights ago the boys saw an airplane flying over our house. They looked up at the sky and then to Brian and said "Catch it Daddy!" If you had only seen the looks on their faces....I think Brian would have actually tried to catch it if he could!

I took this photo for my golf loving husband! See what you have to look forward to someday:)

Aiden is 7 months old!

Aiden is growing up so fast! He has been such a happy baby. He smiles and laughs all the time. He is really starting to interact with Logan and Michael. He will try to steal toys from them and always wants to be right by their sides. He loves to eat veggies and will be moving on to fruit soon. He can sit up well now and is trying to crawl. He is my little buddy and I love to cuddle with him. I can't believe he is already 7 months old!

A trip to the lake

Here are some pictures from our visit to Grandma and Grandpa's house this weekend. We had great weather and were able to do a lot of boating. The boys got to ride on the tube and go swimming. They had a lot of fun and were extremely worn out by the time we got home last night. It was a nice visit even though it was a short one:)

Going to the beach!

Sitting up like a big boy!

I took Aiden out by himself this morning to have his 6 month photos taken. I loved the "beach" ones the best. He seems to know when he is getting alone time with Mommy and is very happy to be out and about on his own. After having a photo shoot with all three boys the last time, this one was a piece of cake! Michael and Logan spent the morning with their favorite babysitter Lauren and were happy to have her all to themselves.

Snuggle Bugs

Michael and Logan have been climbing in bed together when they wake up in the mornings. They love to snuggle together until I am ready for them to get up. Usually Logan climbs into Michael's bed. You can tell by the picture that Nemo is still Michael's favorite thing:)
