Sweet little Aiden

My sweet little Aiden is becoming quite the trouble maker! He has learned how to push chairs over to the kitchen counter so he can climb up and get in the cabinets. He also has thrown his first real temper tantrum! He is almost the same age Michael and Logan were when we brought him home from the hospital. While Michael and Logan were at vacation bible school we had some fun time alone. He loved his bath with out his big brothers stealing all the toys and somehow he managed to smuggle a tooth brush into the bath tub. He also has become very attached to his puppy! He has to sleep with it every night and always gives it a hug and kiss before laying down to go to sleep. I can't believe how fast he is growing up.

Busy Summer!

July has flown by! I can't believe I only have Michael and Logan home for one more month before they start preschool! We have been really busy with several play dates over the past month and I am really behind in posting pictures. In addition to all our activities, I am also working on some new and exciting things for Busy Bee Paperie. Hopefully I will have more news to share very soon! Here is a quick recap of our summer fun:)

Splash Park Play Date

Brian and I put Aiden to bed and let Michael and Logan stay up late to watch The Jungle Book. They loved the movie and were really excited to be up past their bedtime eating popcorn!

Vacation Bible School week was themed Night At The Museum. Michael and Logan had so much fun and our church did a great job with the kids.

We went to the musuem with Hazel and Kristy and took a couple turns on the carousel:)

We toured a local dairy farm and saw a lot of baby cows and chickens. Logan was so in love with the baby cows! He asked several times if he could bring one home with him. When we finally had to leave the farm he cried the whole way to the car. I had no idea he would be so attached to them. Michael and Aiden also liked seeing the cows but were not at all as attached as Logan was. Michael was really interested in watching the milk being poured into jugs from the machines we could see through the window.

Monkey Joe's

Yesterday a friend and I took our kids to play at Monkey Joe's. I had no idea that the boys would want me to go down the slides with them! I spent the first hour taking turns with Michael and Logan climbing the ladders, going through tunnels, and going down the huge slides. Poor Aiden watched his big brothers from the safety of his stroller. The next hour the boys decided they didn't need me anymore and Michael went down one slide after another til we told him it was time to go to lunch. Logan decided he liked jumping better than sliding so he did this the rest of the time we were there. After we bounced we headed to lunch with the whole gang before heading home for nap time.

This was not even the tallest slide!

One more time....

Taking a rest....
Michael is climbing the wall....you can just barely see his blue shirt.
Jumping!

4th of July

Despite the rainy weather we had a great time celebrating the 4th of July at the lake. Michael and Logan got to take their first jet ski ride with Grandpa, we took a lot of boat rides, and did some swimming. The lake always does their fireworks on the 3rd so we got to see a great firework show from the boat. Since the 4th was so rainy we took the boys out to lunch and while Michael and Logan went to see Up with Grandma and Grandpa, Aiden did a little shopping at the outlets with Mommy and Daddy. Michael and Logan loved the movie and are still talking about it!

Heading out to watch the firework show. This was WAY past the boys bedtime!!! Aiden was a little sleepy and wanted to snuggle with his puppy on the boat ride but once the fireworks started he was wide awake and loved the show.

Zaharako's is a restaurant that my mom's friend Helen used to take my sister and I to when we were little. I never imagined I would be taking my kids there someday! It was great to see the place fully restored and the food was just as I remembered. Michael and Logan loved hearing the pipe organ play...which was good since we were sitting right next to it. I loved going to this place when I was a little girl and it made me a little sad that Helen is no longer with us but brought back some great memories for me!

More berries

Last week I took the boys back to the berry farm to pick more berries....this time blueberries and black raspberries. Michael and Logan had a lot of fun trying to find all the ripe berries and Aiden just liked exploring the farm.

Yes....they really do hold hands all the time!

Florida

Two weeks ago we traveled to Florida with Brian's side of the family. All 18 of us stayed in a beach house together and had a great time! We went in honor of Brian's parent's 50th wedding anniversary. The long car ride proved to be a little challenging for Aiden who was not happy about being in the car for that amount of time. (Michael and Logan did great and loved watching Disney movies while we were driving). None the less we finally made it to the beach house and it was well worth the wait. The house was amazing and a great place for us to stay. We spent most of our mornings at the beach and afternoons at the pool. The group included 10 kids and 8 adults. All of the older kids were a huge help with Michael, Logan, and Aiden. I felt like I had 7 full time babysitters all week! In the afternoons the boys were so worn out from the beach that I got to spend my afternoons lounging at the pool while they took a nap. In the evenings we had nice dinners, played games, and drank wine on the porch. On our last night there, Brian and I put the boys to bed and went out for a great dinner at one of our favorite Seaside restaurants and did a little shopping. It was such a fun week and we loved every minute of it! Along with the pictures below is a slide show to view more pictures from the week.
